Water Girl & a B-day Party

Here is my water baby modeling her new floaties! She is so in love with water that we have to drain all the water out of the tub and then still wait while she sits in it still not wanting to get out. We even bought her a kiddie wading pool for the back yard and she is jumpin' in every time she goes outside. We realize that this water addiction is not going to end anytime soon ..... so we went looking at jacuzzis this weekend and took her with us to test them out. Some of the floor models actually have water in them so I put her on the side and let her dangle her little feet in so she can kick and splash. She then wants to put her hands in and splash too....and then suddenly she dunks her whole head in the water and comes up drenched and giggling and so excited that she does it again and again!! The sales guy was impressed and so he was encouraging her and playing with her and so she decided she liked him and he got a few hugs! He was very nice and even brought her a towel to dry off with! ;)

Yesterday we went to Robert's uncle Eric's house to go swimming in their pool and play with their son Sean, who is 4 1/2, not 5. Lexy wore her floaties and got to swim around and kick kick kick like a maniac while dunking her face in the water every five seconds. She wouldn't have ever gotten out except that her lips were turning purple... Very cool to have cool relatives close by with a pool in this heat let me tell you! :)

Even the floaties can't stop her from getting those two fingers in her mouth!

Here's a picture of my cousin's baby, River, who turned one saturday and had a big party at Pixieland. He looks just like my cousin!

And finally, here are a couple of cuties trying to keep cool in the extreme heat. Robert had to work, so thank god Lauryn was free to come with me and help! Such a good auntie. (turning 16 in 2 months!)

new shoes and kisses

Here is our bella (beautiful) daughter in her new jelly-sparkle shoes!! "oooooooohhhhhh" as she says. She picked them out and wants to wear them all the time, and I swear, every store we go into some stranger has to come up to us and say "wow, i like her shoes" or even little kids will come up to us and tell me (while pointing at her) how much they love her shoes. Anyway, it's fun because I bought a matching pair (yes) and so we wear them together.

Mommy and Lexy chillin' on the couch watching TV and eating 'snacky-snacks'

"MmmmmmmmmmmmmMaaaah!" Big kiss for everyone who wants one. She is so good at giving kisses and doing the sound effects to go along with the kiss. And now she is learning how to give the biggest and the best Hugs. She knows the The Lion King by heart and from the begining of the movie (where the monkey gives the lion king a hug) she saw how he wraps his arms around him and trys to copy it while giving you a hug.
The reason I know she learned this from the movie is that every time we watch the movie she acts out the hugs part by throwing her arms around herself at the exact moment in the movie when the monkey does it. ...which reminds me that she is now officially a "copy cat" in copying everything I do and say. Since she can't do the words exactly yet she does the exact sound of my voice...like the the pitch of my voice (like say "aaaaa- ooooo" instead of "a-oh") ok wierd example. How about "daaaa-iiiiii-iiiieeesss" for "there it is" so if in a movie I say "wooooowwwww, cooooool" she will, every single time that same part is played, say "oooooooooowww, ooohhhhh" in the exact same tone as me. I don't know, it's just really cool to see her learning and copying me and getting so big and turning into a little girl. I'm so proud and she's ony 1 1/2! Hold me back People!! ;)
